The instructor will teach immersive undergraduate Spanish courses, including specialized courses for healthcare and law enforcement, utilizing the target language across beginning, intermediate, and advanced levels. Key duties involve developing engaging, culturally informed instructional materials and collaborating on curriculum expansion.
A Master’s degree from an accredited university is required, along with advanced proficiency and fluency in written and conversational Spanish. Candidates must have experience teaching Spanish or working in a bilingual professional environment, and familiarity with UDL principles is expected.
Lecturer in Spanish for Healthcare Professionals
Gwynedd Mercy University is seeking an innovative part-time instructor with a background in both language instruction and medical/healthcare terminology. This individual will play a key role in creating and revitalizing Spanish courses. We are looking for a dynamic educator with experience in online, hybrid, and in-person instruction, proficiency with Universal Design for Learning, and an understanding of cultural medical practices within Hispanic/Latino communities.
