Reports to: Literacy Program Director

PAY: $15 hr base pay (some college)
$20 hr with undergraduate degree (any field)
$25 hr with teacher certification
The 21st CCLC program provides academic enrichment opportunities to complement student’s regular academic programs and offers literacy and other educational services to the families of participating children.
Primary function
21st CCLC - Literacy Tutor is responsible for creating and facilitating reading intervention session that meets the individuals at their level with small groups of Club members and whole group extension activities as needed for grades ranging K-5.
Skills/Education/Experience required
- Some college required
- Experience facilitating quality programs for youth, preferably educational programs
- Teaching or tutor experience preferred
- Strong communications skills, both verbal and written, and strong presentation skills
- Group leadership skills, including an understanding of group dynamics
- Ability to organize and multi-task a variety of responsibilities and deadlines
