Adjunct, Talbot en Español Talbot School of Theology is now accepting applications for part-time adjunct faculty for Talbot en Español courses, which are taught fully in Spanish (Degree programs: Maestría en Artes con concentración en Exposición Bíblica, Maestría en Ministerio y Liderazgo Cristianos con una concentración en Ministerio y Liderazgo y Maestría en Divinidad con concentración en Ministerios Pastorales y Generales).
Preferred candidates live in Southern California.
Duties & Responsibilities
● Teach up to 2 courses per semester in Spanish in an online format. ● Potentially develop and record Talbot courses and materials fully in Spanish. ● Engage with and provide feedback to students via learning activities and assessment of assignments submitted through the Learning Management System (i.e., Canvas) ● Demonstrate excellent communication, accountability, and initiative, along with a strong Christian commitment and interest in the integration of faith with learning.
Qualifications
Ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate: ● Completed doctorate (or equivalent) in a theological field (Bible Exposition, New Testament, Old Testament, Theology, Spiritual Formation, Christian Ministry) strongly preferred. ● Understanding of and commitment to the mission of Talbot School of Theology. ● Experience teaching in Spanish in a relevant theological field. ● Excellent teaching skills, preferably in graduate-level online courses in Spanish. ● Strong communication skills in English and Spanish (written and oral). ● Strong organizational skills. ● Proficient computer skills with working knowledge of Mac and PC computers, Canvas LMS, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and Adobe Acrobat. ● Strong, stable and mature Christian faith. ● The commitment to maintain a lifestyle consistent with sound Christian principles and the standards of conduct of Biola University.
