The therapeutic mentor provides positive role modeling for children and youth facing challenges in social skills, behavior control, problem-Solving, and conflict resolution. Mentors assist youth in identifying strengths and practicing new, positive ways of interacting with peers and adults both inside and outside the home.

Requirements summary

Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in human services, or an associate's degree with one year of experience, or a high school diploma/Ged with two years of experience working with children and families. Applicants must also be 21 or older, have a valid driver's license with reliable car access, and experience with children diagnosed with behavioral-Emotional disorders or autism spectrum disorder.
