Preschool Assistant Teacher

The preschool assistant teacher supports the lead teacher in managing a classroom for children aged 3-5, ensuring a safe, caring, and academically enriching environment while implementing developmentally appropriate activities based on the high scope program outline. Key duties include planning and cleaning up activities, providing positive behavior guidance, entering weekly observations, serving meals according to safety standards, and communicating progress with parents and stakeholders.

Candidates must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent and must complete the state-Required initial certificate within five years of hire. A minimum of two years' experience working with preschool children (3-5 year olds) is required, along with proven skills in positive communication, activity creation, teamwork, and cultural humility.
