Middle School ELA Teacher (to build a candidate pool)

Teachers are responsible for igniting a passion for learning by planning, implementing, and reflecting on engaging instruction to help middle school students master essential academic and social-Emotional skills. They must hold high expectations for all students, use data to track progress, and collaborate with grade-Level teams and administration to foster a culture of excellence.

Candidates must possess or be eligible for maryland state teacher certification and be eligible for hire by baltimore city public schools, with two years of public school teaching experience being strongly preferred. A passion for working with students from historically resilient communities is required, and experience in predominantly african american environments is preferred.
