Teacher of the Deaf

Public school partnership teachers of the deaf provide academic support and monitoring for students with hearing loss in mainstream public school settings across massachusetts. This includes creating academic recommendations based on observations and presenting in-Services to school professionals regarding hearing loss implications.

Candidates must possess a master’s degree and massachusetts teacher certification in deaf education, special education, or teacher of speech and hearing impaired, along with 6 or more years of experience in a deaf education setting. Conversational fluency in american sign language is preferred, with native or near-Native fluency being desired.
