A Michigan school district is seeking a motivated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join its elementary school team in a full-time, school-based role. This opportunity is well-suited for a clinician who enjoys working with younger students and is passionate about helping children develop the communication skills needed for academic progress, social interaction, and long-term confidence.

In this position, you will provide targeted speech and language services to elementary-aged learners, focusing on strengthening articulation, expressive and receptive language development, and functional communication abilities. By working closely with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary support staff, you will help create an inclusive learning environment where students are supported in reaching their individual goals.

This role offers a meaningful opportunity to positively influence students during a key stage of development by helping them overcome communication barriers and build essential skills that support lifelong learning.

Deliver direct speech and language therapy to elementary school students. Design and implement individualized intervention plans aligned with IEP goals. Track student progress through ongoing data collection and adjust strategies as needed. Participate in collaborative team meetings and provide professional input on student development. Work alongside educators, families, and related service providers to reinforce communication strategies. Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with district guidelines and Michigan state regulations.

Requirements

Applicants must hold a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders. Candidates must also possess an active Michigan Speech-Language Pathologist license or be eligible for licensure prior to the start of employment.
