Description The Clinical Educator RN is responsible for the planning, design and implementation of education programs/services and professional development of assigned staff. Works closely with nursing directors and/or department managers on the educational needs assessment and orientation programs for staff, in the assigned specialty. Ensures that competencies and skills are current and relevant for the nursing staff. Functions as a resource for educational issues throughout the hospital.

Key Responsibilities Educational Needs Assessment & Program Development

  • Conducts annual staff educational needs assessments; partners with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to design, implement, and maintain high-quality education programs; participates in competency validations, skill fairs, and community education events to ensure consistent and continuous learning.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications: Active, current, and unencumbered Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing AHA Basic Life Support AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays Ability to maintain flexibility and composure in a constantly changing environment Three (3) years of clinical experience Bachelor of Science in Nursing

Preferred Qualifications

Master of Science Nursing Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) or certification in specialty area Instructor status for BLS and ACLS
