BLRA is a K–5 charter school serving over 700 students in northeast Colorado Springs and is part of a K–12 system that includes Banning Lewis Preparatory Academy (grades 6–12). Our student population includes diverse learners, including students with individualized education plans, English language learners, gifted learners, and a large military-connected population. The Reading Intervention Teacher plays a critical role in supporting students who require targeted, intensive reading instruction, while collaborating closely with classroom teachers to ensure strong Tier 1 instruction and effective Tier 2/Tier 3 supports. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong expertise in the science of reading, a deep understanding of structured literacy practices, and a commitment to a collaborative approach that uses data to drive instruction and accelerate student growth.
