- Academy: Counselor Position San Antonio Academy is seeking energetic, responsible, and motivated individuals (ages 18+) to join our team for the upcoming summer season. This part-time role is an exceptional opportunity for Education majors and aspiring leaders to gain hands-on experience in a premier academic and recreational environment. Role Overview As a Counselor, you are the heartbeat of the student experience. You will provide high-level supervision for campers aged 4–12 (extending up to age 16 during specialized classes and lunch periods). You will balance active mentorship with instructional support, ensuring every student remains safe, healthy, and engaged.

- Safety: Oversee campers in diverse environments, including classrooms, the dining hall, and outdoor spaces. Prioritize the "Happiness and Healthiness" of every child by maintaining a watchful eye and a proactive attitude.

- Assistance: Work directly with classroom teachers to support daily lessons. This includes assisting with a multitude of tasks such as material setup, small group facilitation, and student transitions.

- DUTIES: Create a fun and positive environment for campers Assist teachers in the classroom and actively engage with students Supervise children in the classroom, in the Kids’ Place facility, and around campus Supervise tables at lunch Assist with student drop-off and pick-up (responsible for the safe transport of children to various areas on campus) Effectively record and take attendance of groups when being transported to different areas on campus
