Core responsibilities
The teacher assistant is responsible for aiding in the implementation of the early childhood educational program by working closely with the teacher to develop and present activities to parents. Duties include collaborating with staff and parents on daily activities, organizing learning centers, and maintaining a warm classroom atmosphere.
Requirements summary
Candidates must possess a child development associate (Cda) credential or 3 credits in early childhood education, along with two years of experience in an early care and education classroom, preferably with preschoolers. Knowledge of or experience with at-Risk children is required, and being bilingual/Bicultural in the latino culture is preferred.
