Teaching associates are primarily responsible for providing classroom instruction for sections of spanish 1a and spanish 1b, which includes preparing materials, evaluating student writing, assessing performance, and maintaining office hours. Duties also involve attending ta orientation, participating in assessment procedures, and potentially teaching other beginning spanish courses.
Requirements summary
Candidates must be admitted to the spanish master's program at fresno state in good academic standing, have passed the ma language exam, and be enrolled in at least 6 units toward their degree with satisfactory progress. Applicants must also have successfully completed or be concurrently taking span 201 (Teaching spanish as a foreign language) with a grade of 'b' or higher, and possess advanced proficiency in both spanish and english.
