Speech language pathologists prevent, assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive-Communication, and swallowing disorders in children from birth to age 21. Physical therapists evaluate and treat children with physical, emotional, and/Or psychosocial needs to improve mobility through skilled gross motor interventions.

Requirements summary

The ideal slp candidate requires a master's degree in speech language pathology and an applicable, current, unrestricted license, while the ideal pt candidate requires a doctoral degree in physical therapy and an applicable, current, unrestricted license. New graduates are welcome, and all candidates must thrive as part of a team working alongside other disciplines.
