Silver Sneakers Instructor

The instructor will enthusiastically lead energizing, safe, and educational group fitness classes, such as silver sneakers, while nurturing member goal achievement and building community within the class. Responsibilities also include adhering to ymca policies, maintaining required certifications, and refraining from offering medical advice or promoting outside products.

Candidates should ideally have at least one year of experience instructing group wellness classes and possess general knowledge of group exercise equipment and training techniques. Required qualifications include national certification in group fitness instruction (Or obtaining it within six months) and specific certifications like bloodborne pathogens within the first week of hire.
