Job description
This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Youth Development Seasonal Admin will support the Summer Camp Program Director in the development and implementation of curriculum for all out of school time programs.

Essential functions
- 1.
- Update and maintain all YSA administrative binders, first aid kits, and program supply boxes to ensure materials are current, complete, and organized.
- 2.
- Count, organize, and distribute snacks and supplies to program sites as needed.
- 3.
- Organize, inventory, and restock the YSA supply closet and program materials.
- 4.
- Organize and maintain staff shirts and related program apparel.
- 5.
- Maintain inventory records for YSA school phones, tablets, and other program technology equipment.
- 6.
- Assist Youth Development administrative staff with general program support and special projects as assigned.
- 7.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workspaces and storage areas.
- 8.
- Attend required staff meetings and training sessions.
- 9.
- Follow YMCA policies, procedures, and safety standards while supporting the mission and values of the YMCA of Greater San Antonio.

Qualifications
- 1.
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- 2.
- High school student, high school diploma, or GED preferred.
- 3.
- Ability to stay organized and complete tasks in a timely manner.
- 4.
- Ability to work independently and follow directions from supervisors.
- 5.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- 6.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google/Gmail, or similar technology preferred.
- 7.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with staff and program participants.
- 8.
- Must be dependable, responsible, and able to maintain confidentiality when handling program materials and information.
- 9.
- Certifications required within the first week of hire: Redwoods Bloodborne Pathogens, Defensive Driving, Child Abuse Prevention, and Hazardous Communications.
- 10.
- Must be able to lift, carry, organize, and transport supplies up to 20 pounds as needed.
- 11.
- Incumbent must be a positive role model to children and display emotional maturity and stability at all times.
- 12.
- Certifications required within the first 60 days of hire: YMCA approved basic life saving skills such as CPR, First Aid, AED, and Emergency Oxygen.
- This position must have the ability to respond to safety and emergency situations.
- 13.
- Must have a valid driver’s license as well as capacity to drive to various locations within the greater San Antonio metropolitan area.
Working conditions

- This position requires high levels of attention and alertness.

- Visual acuity is required for child supervision.

- Repetitive stooping and bending with regular lifting of up to 20 pounds is required.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods at a time is required, as well as, the ability to run and be able to participate in sports.
