Group Exercise Instructor - Aqua

Enthusiastically lead energizing, fun, safe, and educational group fitness classes to accomplish the ymca mission, while building effective relationships with members and fostering community connections. Instructors must observe and adjust classes to support varied participant capabilities, health, and culture, and document attendance accurately.

Candidates need effective interpersonal skills, the ability to facilitate group interaction, and teamwork capabilities, along with general knowledge of group exercise equipment and wellness techniques. A national group fitness certification is required, or must be obtained within six months, along with specific certifications like bloodborne pathogens and cpr/First aid within set deadlines.
