Core responsibilities
The full time teacher aide maintains a safe, predictable, and therapeutic living environment by providing close supervision, counseling, and support to children during the school day. This role ensures children's basic needs are met while maintaining an orderly and clean school environment, working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Requirements summary
A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required, and the organization is willing to train the right candidate, emphasizing good oral and written communication skills and emotional intelligence. Candidates must also be able to pass a therapeutic crisis intervention training which includes evaluation on conducting a proper physical restraint.
