Teacher Assistant - Trauma Informed

The teacher assistant supports the instructional program by supervising, caring for, and instructing students with complex needs in the classroom, assisting in implementing instructional plans, and monitoring academics and behavior. This role involves working with the lead teacher to maintain a safe and nurturing environment and implementing therapeutic and behavioral plans for assigned children.

Candidates must possess a high school diploma along with either a washington state ece certificate (47 credits) or a child development associate (Cda) credential obtained before 2005. Required experience includes two years in an early learning setting working with children aged birth to five who have experienced abuse or neglect, plus two years identifying and reporting child abuse.
