Senior NSD Counselor (4374)

The senior education counselor supports youth in regaining classroom reentry skills, preparing for ged/Diploma, and provides direct support within non-Secure detention. Responsibilities include implementing shift work plans, training new staff, leading group sessions, and ensuring the welfare and well-Being of the youth.

A minimum of an associate's degree is required, though a bachelor's degree is preferred, along with 1-2 years of experience working with youth in a classroom setting. Candidates must possess a valid driver's license and successfully clear the nys child abuse registry and a physical exam.
