School Counselor

The school counselor is primarily responsible for aiding students in academic, social, and emotional success through individual and group counseling, while collaborating with educators and parents to foster a supportive learning environment. Key duties include providing direct counseling sessions, conducting student assessments, maintaining parent contact, and developing/Updating critical educational plans like ieps and pbips.

Candidates must possess a master's degree or higher in a related field and meet all state/District licensing requirements, with preference for those holding special education credentials. Essential qualifications include prior experience in special education, proficiency in applied behavior analysis (Aba) and positive behavior interventions and supports (Pbis), and strong abilities in communication, problem-Solving, and crisis management.
