Job Description
- We are looking for a Pre-Kindergarten Teacher. The teacher will execute the provided pre-curriculum intergrading hands on learning opportunities. The pre-k teacher will:
- Adhere to the school policies around behavior expectations, with rewards and consequences.
- Work effectively and professionally with all school team members.
- Implement small group instruction as required.
- Align all teaching to our standards-based curriculum.
- Inform all instructional decisions with data as a classroom-planning tool.
- Work with MSCS staff to ensure all compliance is meet in the classroom. Lead and support 2 teacher assitants in the classroom.
- Participate in high frequency coaching.
- Follow all professional norms.
- Do whatever it takes to achieve the mission of Aurora Collegiate Academy.
Qualifications
Required: CPR/First Aid Certification (can be secured after hire but before start date) Must also have 1 of the following: An associates degree An undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education or Early Childhood Development A state issued teaching license for Pre-K A CDA Certificate. Note this can be obtained within 6 months of employment A willingness to complete all duties and responsibilities to the fullest. A belief that all students can succeed in college and a desire to lead students to that outcome.
