Core responsibilities

The program specialist/Ctrs supports individuals in community participation and ensures their needs are met according to their individual support plans (Isp). Responsibilities include developing and reviewing isps, coordinating assessments, and implementing recreational activities.

Requirements summary

Candidates must have a bs or higher in therapeutic recreation and be a certified therapeutic recreation specialist or eligible to sit for the exam. Two years of experience working with people with disabilities is required.
