Job Description
This position is an entry point for the pool of qualified applicants to be selected for anticipated part-time temporary positions working under the guidance of the Texas State Technical College Corporate College. Instructors may be required to develop customized training curriculum and /or provide instruction for workforce development and industrial training clients. Essential Functions Employee will demonstrate TSTC Core values of Excellence, Accountability, Service and Integrity with internal and external stakeholders, customers, students and members of the community. Develop curriculum for a variety of educational projects including but not limited to continuing education, apprenticeships, contract and industrial training, and other special training projects, as well as international programs. Deliver instruction for a variety of educational projects including but not limited to continuing education, apprenticeships, contract and industrial training, and other special training projects, as well as international programs. Complete documentation including grades, etc., as required by the supervisor. Other duties as assigned Education/Experience/Knowledge/Skills Educational requirements vary based on the training need. Two years related experience relevant to subject needs. Current phlebotomy certification (e.g., NHA, ASPT, AMCA, or equivalent) Knowledge of phlebotomy procedures, safety standards, and patient care practices Teaching or training experience in a healthcare or workforce setting preferred Experience in clinical coordination or healthcare partnerships preferred This job description covers a position in which the percentage of time spent on the essential functions will vary based on the workload and will ultimately be determined by the supervisor.
