The Founding School Nurse will establish and manage a comprehensive school health program adhering to Rhode Island guidelines and Excel Academy policies. Excel Academy is seeking a Founding School Nurse who is responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and management of the school’s health program at our Founding High School in Providence, Rhode Island. General responsibilities include program management, nursing services, collaboration, health education, and professional practice. Salary and Start Date: $60 - 86k, commensurate with experience, and with an 8% raise structure. The ideal candidate would start in August 2026.

Candidates must hold a BSN or RN with a Bachelor’s degree and must obtain or already possess RIDE certification for the role. A minimum of one year of experience in public health, community health, school health, or pediatric nursing is required, with school nursing experience being preferred.
