Core responsibilities
The primary duty involves providing formal training and education to various community organizations serving geriatric or adult residents with mental illness and/Or dementia to build community awareness and skills. Responsibilities are heavily weighted towards in-Service training and marketing (65%), alongside community resource collaboration and administrative tasks.
Requirements summary
Candidates must possess extensive knowledge of psychopharmacology, geriatric behavioral health needs, and relevant north carolina mental health laws and regulations. Required education is either a bachelor's degree with three years of experience working with older adults with mental illness, or a master's degree in a human services field with two years of relevant experience, plus two years of training experience and qualification as a mental health professional.
