Resource Specialist Teacher

The resource special education teacher supports student learning by developing lesson plans, implementing accommodations, and consulting with general education teachers. Key duties include administering educational assessments, establishing student behavior standards, and adapting curriculum according to individual ieps.

Candidates must possess a special education teaching certificate from the relevant department of education and pass required background checks, including fbi/Doj checks and tb clearance, along with eligibility to work in the us. Preferred qualifications include experience with school-Based services, writing ieps, holding meetings, and documentation.
