T26/27 - World Language Teacher - ASL.090 (Yorktown)

The primary responsibility is to teach american sign language (Asl) as a foreign language to high school students, which includes developing and implementing the asl curriculum. The role requires effective teamwork, flexibility, dependability, organization, and excellent interpersonal skills.

Candidates must have or be eligible for virginia licensure and hold specific certifications related to american sign language teaching or interpreting from recognized associations like aslta, rid, or nad, along with a minimum of three semester hours in foreign language teaching methods. Experience teaching high school students and developing asl curriculum is also required.
