Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning, organizing, and conducting regular basketball practices
  • Teach and develop fundamental basketball skills, including shooting, passing, defense, and game strategies
  • Prepare students for games, scrimmages, and competitions
  • Models’ sports-like behavior and maintains appropriate conduct towards players, officials,
  • and spectators.
  • Assist with coordinating game-day activities, including warm-ups, player rotations, and bench management
  • Supervise students during practices, games, and team travel
  • Promote teamwork, discipline, sportsmanship, and school pride among team member
  • Maintain communication with students, families, and school staff
  • Ensure adherence to school policies, athletic regulations, and safety guidelines
  • Assist with organizing equipment, uniforms, and practice/game schedules
  • Support tryouts and assist with team selection, as applicable
  • Other duties as assigned Knowledge Of:
  • Basketball fundamentals, strategies, and skill development techniques
