Description Caprock Academy is seeking Substitute Teachers and Substitute Educational Assistants for the 2025-2026 school year. Caprock Academy is a public, tuition-free school chartered by the Colorado Charter School Institute and utilizes the timeless principles of classically oriented education.

  • Caprock Academy follows the Core Knowledge© curriculum in grades K–8.
  • This curriculum encompasses language arts, mathematics, science, history, geography, fine arts, and physical education.

Requirements

Essential Duties: Implement teacher lesson plans Help faculty to always supervise students. Take part of a rotating schedule for playground duty before school, at recess, at lunch and after school. Aid teachers in drop off and pick up duty before and/or after school. Facilitate the Pledge of Allegiance with students. Take attendance. Help faculty to always supervise students. Aid teachers in escorting students to specials classes. Escort students to the office as needed. Help keep the classroom clean and tidy. Enforce school policies (ie. dress code, technology usage, etc).

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma. Associate or bachelor’s degree, preferred. Experience working with students, preferred. Desire and willingness to promote the mission and values of the school. Demonstrated effective classroom-management skills. Ability and willingness to work effectively with peers and team members. Professional and personal integrity and judgment.
