Core responsibilities

The primary focus is providing specialized services to families of young children (Birth through five) with vision impairments and/Or multiple disabilities through home instruction, resource provision, and advocacy. Responsibilities include conducting functional vision and developmental assessments and actively participating in developing and implementing individual family service plans (Ifsps).

Requirements summary

A minimum of a bachelor of arts or science degree in special education, child development, or a related field is required, along with a valid california driver license and three years of good driving history. Familiarity with california services for children with vision loss and bilingual spanish skills are preferred.
