Resident Counselor

The resident counselor will complete a 3400-Hour residency, participate in weekly supervision, and serve on the after-Hours on-Call rotation for crisis intervention for students. Responsibilities also include providing counseling services such as assessments, clinical treatment, diagnosis, and treatment planning to the student population.

Applicants must submit materials for resident licensure with the virginia board of counseling and complete a 3400-Hour residency in accordance with state regulations. The role requires passing the national clinical mental health counseling examination and maintaining professional memberships.
