Ex Ed Educational Assistant

The primary role involves providing teaching support and services under the direction of a licensed special education teacher to implement individual education programs for students with disabilities in various settings. Responsibilities include assisting with educational instruction, preparing materials, collecting data on student progress, and providing necessary physical assistance like toileting or feeding.

Candidates must possess a high school diploma or ged along with basic technology skills; required educational attainment includes either 48 semester hours/72 quarter hours, an associate’s degree or higher, or a passing score on the praxis for parapro exam. One year of experience working with students with disabilities is preferred.
