Lower School Counselor

The lower school counselor supports the academic, social-Emotional, and spiritual development of k-5 students by planning and facilitating social-Emotional learning curriculum and partnering with staff to implement classroom strategies. Key duties include providing short-Term counseling, gathering student data, utilizing evidence-Based tools for safety concerns, and training staff on wellness topics.

Candidates must possess a strong personal relationship with jesus christ and agree with the school's mission and faith statement, requiring a minimum of a bachelor's degree (Advanced degree preferred) and licensure or candidacy for licensed clinical mental health professional. Preferred qualifications include experience in a school setting, crisis management skills, strong relationship-Building abilities, and comfort with public speaking.
