  • Job Summary The Middle School ELA Teacher at St.
  • Frances Cabrini Academy is responsible for providing high‑quality, faith‑centered instruction in reading, writing, grammar, and communication skills.
  • This role supports students’ academic growth, critical thinking, and literacy development while fostering a respectful and engaging learning environment rooted in Catholic values and the mission of the school.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, standards‑based English Language Arts instruction, including reading comprehension, writing, grammar, vocabulary, and speaking skills.
  • Promote critical thinking, creativity, and effective communication through varied instructional strategies and text analysis.
  • Integrate Catholic teachings, values, and ethical perspectives into daily instruction and classroom discussions where appropriate.
  • Create and maintain a structured, respectful, and positive classroom environment that supports student learning and accountability.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs and abilities of middle school students.
  • Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and inform instructional practices.
  • Maintain accurate records of student achievement, attendance, and behavior in accordance with school policies.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with parents/guardians regarding student progress and academic expectations.
