The Graduate Assistant will support the head coach by assisting in practice planning and execution, helping with the recruitment and evaluation of prospective student-athletes, and overseeing study hall hours to maintain academic standing. Shorter University, a NCAA Division II institution which competes in Conference Carolinas, is currently accepting applicants for the position of Graduate Assistant to the Softball program. The position is designed to provide the chosen applicant with valuable and practical experience in coaching at the collegiate level. Potential candidates must have a strong desire to pursue a career in coaching. All activities shall be conducted within the policies and resource framework of the University, the Athletics Department, Conference Carolinas, and the NCAA.
MBA, MBA emphasis in Sports Management, or Master of Management.
In exchange for hours worked for the team, the successful candidate will be given free tuition for graduate courses subject to the Graduate Assistantship Guidelines of the University.
GA’s are responsible for expenses for books and fees.
