Elective Teacher (26-27)

Educators are responsible for delivering exceptional instruction, developing year-Long texas state standards-Based unit and lesson plans, and using assessment data to modify plans to promote student academic performance. They must also collaborate with teams, establish trusting relationships with students and families, and participate in daily school functions and required events.

Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree from an accredited four-Year college or university and demonstrate knowledge of the core subject area assigned. A texas teacher certificate appropriate for the level and subject area is required for certain positions, and all candidates must be considered highly-Qualified based on nclb guidelines if applicable.
