Camp Nurse for Children with Special Needs
We are looking to grow our Nurse staff with great people to work weekends ensuring camp is a safe and healthy environment. Under the guidance of the Nurse Manager, the Camp Nurse works alongside the Weekend Adventures team from Friday evening to Sunday afternoon and oversees all medical care for campers ages 6-17 with intellectual disabilities.
There is one nurse on site who oversees the medical care for an average of 10 campers throughout the weekend. The Camp Nurse is responsible for anticipating medical or nursing care problems and providing solutions relating to the care for children with disabilities. In addition to the medical responsibilities, you will have the opportunity to assist our campers in activities such as hiking, low ropes courses, hayrides, craft time and even s'mores!
The goal of Jill’s House is to share Jesus’ love for children with intellectual disabilities and their families through purposeful excellence, joyful service, and compassionate engagement.
