- Range: $17.00 - $17.00 HourlyJoin our team at West River Head Start! Play a key role in keeping our center operating smoothly. The Classroom Support staff member is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy environment for children, staff, and families along with serving meals and assisting in the classroom. Requirements High school diploma or GED Valid driver's license. Details for Classroom Support Services Opening in Carson $17.00/hour ($17.50 with CDA) 20 to 32 hours per week. 9-month position from mid-August to mid-May. If interested, summer hours may be available through HIT, Inc. Children attend Head Start on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Wednesdays are set as classroom preparation and staff work day. Benefits available for you and your family! Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Adhere to all principles of confidentiality Meal and snack service and cleanup Assist in the classroom Clean Head Start classroom, bus, and related areas Attend Safety and Sanitation training Maintain playground – i.e. snow and ice removal, mow, sweep sidewalks, pick up trash, etc. Report monthly bus mileage Submit maintenance request for facility maintenance and bus upkeep Make a list of needed groceries and supplies Pass CPR and First Aid Drive bus routes (if applicable) Benefits Our program offers a variety of benefits for FULL-TIME employees that cover you and your family.
