The primary duty is teaching Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) courses, which includes preparing and delivering lectures, moderating discussions, running hands-on scenarios, and administering/grading assessments. Instructors must also ensure positive student interactions and maintain safety for guests and staff.
Candidates must possess a medical background with experience providing emergency care and hold at least an EMT certification, with higher medical certifications like RN or Paramedic being preferred. Teaching experience in classroom or non-traditional settings, knowledge of adult learning principles, and a minimum of a High School diploma are required, while a college degree is preferred.
For 53 years NOC has led the outdoor industry, taking more guests whitewater rafting and teaching more paddlers than any other outdoor recreation company. NOC also provides top-quality aerial and trail-based adventures, wilderness medicine as well as unmatched retail service, foodservice, lodging, and trip planning services.
