The Granite YMCA is currently seeking Lead Preschool Teacher to add to our dynamic and welcoming YMCA of Greater Londonderry team.
Responsibilities will include: Lead curriculum development and implementation for assigned classroom Provide age-appropriate instruction and supervision Ensure the health and safety of children in direct care Perform child observations and assessments Work in collaboration as a team member with other classroom and program staff Maintain professionalism at all times throughout the day Qualifications and Experience: NH Lead Teacher qualified (minimum) Associate or Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred) Prior childcare experience Child Development Associate Certification (Preferred) Work Hours/Pay Range: 40 hours per week Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:00a - 5:30p This is a full-time, hourly position with an extensive benefit package that includes: Generous paid vacation time (4 weeks paid time off & 6 Holidays that accrues with tenure) Medical and dental insurance Tuition Discounts to some NH and online schools Free 2 Adult Family YMCA Membership 50% discount on Preschool Childcare, School Age Childcare, and Summer Camp services Discounts on Programs for yourself & family members 25% discounts on Birthday Parties, Pool, and Gym Rentals After qualifying, 8% employer contribution to retirement fund
Candidates must be NH Lead Teacher qualified with a minimum of an Associate or Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education preferred. Prior childcare experience and Child Development Associate Certification are also preferred.
