Overview

  • Utilizes a global perspective when assessing educational needs toward the development and implementation of curriculum for hospital-wide programs.
  • Performs outcomes analysis of current programs to determine needed modifications to content to enhance patient outcomes, staff performance, clinical competence and professional development.
  • Teaches, develops and mentors through a broad range of activities that lead to the development and implementation of a professional practice model.
  • Leads in the planning, implementation and evaluation of new systems/processes as they impact staff competency in the delivery of patient centered care.
  • Facilitates an environment that values and enhances research, knowledge and professional development.

  • Licensure/Certifications:
  • Licensed to practice nursing in the state of Florida
  • BLS from the AHA
  • Within 6 months of hire or transfer NRP is required
  • Within 6 months of hire or transfer ACLS is required
  • Within 2 years of hire or transfer International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners (IBCLC) certification is required.
