Position Details

The Department of Communication in the College of Arts and Letters at The University of Tampa invites applications for part-time instruction in speech, including courses in Oral Communication and Speech for Business and the Professions. These courses emphasize foundational public speaking skills, professional presentation strategies, and audience analysis. Instructors may also guide students in developing professional communication competencies such as team communication, persuasive speaking, and interviewing. Responsibilities include: Create syllabus and course related materials. Teach course(s) according to departmental guidelines. Be able to provide meeting times for students outside of class. Complete course grading and submit final grades through the on-line system. The successful candidate will have: Master's degree or doctorate in Speech or Communication; or terminal degree with 18 graduate hours in Speech or Communication or professional experience relevant to the learning objectives of the courses to be taught.
