Job Description

Well-Being Ambassadors are Baylor students who are passionate about educating their peers on the topics of health and well-being and promoting a culture focus include physical and emotional well-being, goal setting, stress reduction, and time management. Well-Being Ambassadors do not provide medical advice.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Complete a well-being training program offered by the Department of Student Care and Well-Being.
  • Serve as a liaison for the Department of Student Care and Well-Being and campus community on topics related to health and well-being.
  • Host weekly drop-in sessions for students in placement/department.
  • Meet one-on-one with students.
  • Direct students to campus and community resources, as needed.
  • Attend monthly meetings with other ambassadors and staff.

Additional Considerations

  • Must be a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior
  • Minimum of 2.5 GPA
  • Two-semester commitment, at minimum
  • Dedicated to improving one's own, and the greater campus community's, well-being
  • Willing to address barriers towards achieving well-being
  • No history of severe disciplinary record
  • Encourage the Baylor Community to live active and healthy lives
  • Assist in assigned area of responsibility
  • Provide excellent customer service to clients and visitors
  • Participate in various activities and tasks related to health and recreation
  • Adhere to and ensure safety procedures and precautions are followed
  • Ability to comply with university policies
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance
