Substitute Teacher (Head Start/Early Head Start)

The substitute teacher assists in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate classroom activities while ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children. Responsibilities include maintaining child-Staff ratios, performing health checks, and fostering positive relationships with families and community resources.

Candidates must possess a high school diploma or ged and be at least 18 years old. The role requires the ability to pass criminal history and drug screenings, as well as the capacity to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 25 pounds and interacting with children at eye level.
