Diabetes Educator - Maternal Fetal Medicine

The diabetes education specialist provides evidence-Based diabetes self-Management and nutrition education to patients in individual and group settings. They also collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate patient care and contribute to program development and quality improvement initiatives.

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in nutrition sciences or dietetics and possess a registered dietitian credential. Additionally, the role requires washington state certification and the ability to obtain a certified diabetes care and education specialist (Cdces) credential within one year.
