Job description

  • Description Evaluate patients to obtain data necessary for treatment.
  • Provide occupational therapy treatment to patients per the Plan of Care and in accordance with the physician’s prescription.
  • Maintain required documentation in a timely manner and in accordance with CRM requirements.
  • Effectively supervise and promote clinical development of COTA’s, rehab techs, interns, and volunteers.
  • Maintain an appropriate daily schedule to maximize departmental efficiency and ensure quality patient care.
  • Maintain effective communication with patients, families, physicians, and co-workers.
  • Participate in educational and professional activities that enhance self, co-workers, and patient care.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Graduate of an AOTA accredited occupational therapy program.

Experience

  • Two years of clinical experience, with 1 in an outpatient setting preferred. Advanced clinical experience in outpatient orthopedics, industrial medicine, neurology, rheumatology or gerontology preferred.

  • Requirements: CPR certification within 3 months of employment. AOTA registration as an occupational therapist. Current Florida licensure.
