Develop and implement a math and literacy curriculum focused on combating summer learning loss for students in grades K-5. Lead engaging activities and provide supervision, feedback, and behavioral guidance to youth.
A Bachelor's degree or being in the third year of an education degree is preferred. Experience working with and supervising youth in grades Kindergarten through 5th grade is required or preferred.

Power Up Teachers create and implement an academic curriculum (focusing on math and language arts) for the Club’s Power Up Summer school program with an emphasis on combating summer learning loss.
Develop and create a math and literacy curriculum with an emphasis on hands-on and fun activities. Plan and lead engaging, educational, and grade-appropriate activities. Implement and assess a post-test and pre-test in math and literacy skills (grade-specific). Must be able to provide leadership, on-the-spot and reflective feedback, and supervision to youth. Help encourage positive behaviors and provide guidance. Provide daily feedback to the supervisor on how the day went and how programs and the space can improve. Maintain order and discipline among students while upholding safety.
Must be of the mental and physical capacity to observe, interact, and communicate with youth, staff, volunteers, parents, etc. at the Club to ensure the safety of the space and others, provide guidance and reflection per the Club priority outcomes and goals Ability to stand/sit for long periods of time throughout a shift Ability to operate various types of general office equipment including PC, telephone, copier, etc. This position is considered to be safety-sensitive.
