Description The Division of Humanities and Fine Arts at Keuka College seeks adjunct instructors to teach courses in Spanish and Latin American culture, including literature, either in person or online.

A Master’s degree in Spanish or a relevant field is required; doctorate preferred.
College teaching experience required.

AA/EOE Specific Responsibilities: Instruct introductory- or mid-level courses in Spanish and Latin American culture and literature; Plan course instruction based upon approved syllabus, goals, and objectives; Design, administer, and grade essays, examinations, and applicable projects to accurately assess achievement of course objectives as identified in the syllabus; Provide clear documentation of student progress through regular and frequent feedback, academic warnings, and midterm progress reports as necessary; Create an inclusive classroom environment conducive to culture and language learning, which actively engages students; Contribute to program and General Education assessment of student learning outcomes based on signature assignments in courses; Maintain regular office and language lab hours to meet one-on-one with students; Assist with extracurricular cultural programs as needed to complement classroom learning; Work with the program faculty to ensure instructional quality and program quality; Adhere to College policies and procedures.
Physical Requirements: Some evening and weekend hours may be required.
A Master’s degree in Spanish Language/Literature or a relevant field is required; doctorate preferred; Native or near-native fluency and advanced level of proficiency (C1 or higher) in Spanish and English; Broad knowledge of worldwide Hispanic cultures and Spanish as a Global Language; Demonstrated excellence in college-level language teaching; Demonstrated proficiency using computer applications, online resources, and other technologies for the classroom; Demonstrated excellence teaching language online using Moodle or a similar Learning Management System.
