The certified teacher assistant provides physical and programmatic support to children in a classroom setting under the supervision of a teacher. Responsibilities include assisting with instructional materials, maintaining classroom organization, and providing personal care such as feeding and toileting.

Candidates must possess a high school diploma or ged and a valid nys teacher assistant certification (Level i, ii, or iii). Six months of related experience is preferred, along with completion of specific workshops on child safety.
